Life Challenges – Easing Separation
This form of Reiki treatment provides support for you in your sorrow and pain and can help you to transform negative feelings into a willingness to see our partner’s beauty and uniqueness again.
Reiki cannot necessarily help us to avoid a separation, but it can offer helping us to separate in a loving way. All losses and changes are valuable opportunities for us to open and learning to let go of habitual patterns, beliefs and conditioned thought processes.
Maintain each hand position for about 3-5 minutes. You can give this treatment to yourself (self-treatment) or to another person, as described and shown here.
Instructions
1. Lay your hands to the right and left of the receiver’s nostrils. Your palm and fingers cover the cheekbone, eyes and forehead.
This position helps your intuition and increases clarity of thought. – See image above.
For Self-Treatment: Place your hands over your eyes, resting your palms on your cheekbones.
2. Cup the back of the head with your fingertips over the ‘medulla oblongata’, an energy point at the join between head and neck.
This position releases fear and any other strong emotions.
For Self-Treatment: Cup the back of your head with your hands, fingers pointing upwards.
3. Lay one hand in the middle of the receiver’s chest on the breastbone, and the other across the thymus gland below the collarbone (at right angel to the first hand).
This position is related to the heart chakra (4th energy centre). It fortifies general weakness and supports the capacity to forgive and enjoyment of life.
For Self-Treatment: Place your hands on either side of the chest, fingers touching just below the collar bone.
4. Lay one hand above the receiver’s navel and the other hand below, treating the second and third chakra.
This position helps to ease fear, balances strong emotions as well as boosts confidence.
For Self-Treatment: Place one hand above your navel and the other below the navel.
After the treatment you can rest a little, and then slowly come back by moving and stretching your body gently.
NOTE: For self-treatment, I usually use one or two pillows to support my arms.
