Practical Reiki

The-Complete Reiki Tutor Our natural state as human beings is to be healthy and happy. Reiki enhances your well-being, promotes healing and deep relaxation on all levels (body, mind and soul) and harmonizes the chakras. This section guides you, step by step, to learn how to give extra Reiki to specific areas, when experiencing physical disturbances, emotional upsets or any imbalances in the body.

Switch off with Reiki in the evening and relax.

Treating yourself with Reiki before going to sleep clams body, mind and soul and harmonizes all your chakras. These Reiki positions also work if you have difficulty getting to sleep.

A sense of calm and peace

I start my self-treatment by placing my hands over my eyes, resting the heels of my hands on the cheekbones (see picture above). After about a minute, I feel the Reiki energy streaming into my eyes and into my head. All the energy – drained through the eyes throughout the day – flows back into me. This is very beneficial and I can relax from the day.

Love and enjoyment of life

Next I place both hands on the middle of the chest, on the heart chakra. I feel connected inside myself and I am in touch with my heart again and the inherent love. This hand position also strengthens my immune system and increases the capacity for love and enjoyment of life.

Now I place both hands in the middle of the belly, with one hand above the navel (solar plexus) and the other hand below the navel (abdomen). I can let go and relax deeply, experiencing the Reiki healing energy flowing throughout my whole body.

Grounding and confidence in life

I am placing both hands in the shape of a “V” over my lower abdomen with the fingertips touching over the pubic bone. This provides grounding and encourages trusting in life, which allows sleep to come more easily.

Afterwards, if I have more time, I continue with other hand positons. There are many more additional positions for giving extra Reiki for specific areas.*

I tend to use one or two cushions to support my arms, so that I don’t need to hold them up.
